Luis J. Bonet Of Camden Remembered After Fatal Early Morning Incident Near Baird Boulevard And Boyd Street On June 9, 2026
Luis J. Bonet, a 24-year-old Camden resident, died after an early morning incident on June 9, 2026, near Baird Boulevard and Boyd Street.
Authorities first responded just after 12:23 a.m. to the 200 block of Morse Street after a ShotSpotter alert indicated possible activity nearby.
Officers later found Bonet injured near the intersection of Baird Boulevard and Boyd Street, and emergency responders took Bonet to Cooper University Hospital for urgent care.
Medical staff worked to save Bonet, but officials pronounced Bonet dead at about 12:36 a.m.
Detectives from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Camden County Police Department continued reviewing evidence and asking the public for information.
As of the June 10, 2026 report, officials had not shared a motive, named any person of interest, or reported any arrests.
