Michelle Eynon Remembered By Tallmadge Community After Unexpected Leukemia Battle And Years Of Science Teaching At Tallmadge High School

Michelle Eynon, a longtime science teacher at Tallmadge High School, has passed away after an undiagnosed and aggressive form of leukemia, according to a Tallmadge City Schools letter sent to families on May 29, 2026.

The news, reported on May 30, 2026, left students, parents, staff, alumni, and residents grieving a respected educator known for patience, kindness, humor, and a steady presence in the classroom.

Superintendent Steve Wood called the loss unexpected and shared condolences with Eynon’s family, friends, colleagues, and former students.

Tallmadge City Schools has arranged counseling support for students, staff, parents, and alumni as the community processes the loss.

A community gathering will take place at Tallmadge High School on June 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for people to share memories and support one another.

Memorial service details will be announced later in accordance with the family’s wishes.
