Aledo Community Mourns 14-Year-Old Brayden Martin After May 20 ATV Crash Near Graduation Events

Brayden Martin, a 14-year-old eighth-grader at Aledo Middle School, died after an ATV crash on San Jacinto Drive near Aledo at about 8:40 p.m. on May 20, 2026.

Emergency crews and Parker County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded, but Brayden did not survive after being thrown from the vehicle.

Aledo ISD confirmed the loss on Thursday morning and brought grief counselors and support staff to campus as classmates, teachers, and families faced the news.

Brayden had been expected to take part in middle school graduation events just hours later, making the loss especially painful for the North Texas community.

Wildcatters NTX 14U Place remembered Brayden as a valued teammate whose smile, work ethic, and love for baseball touched many people.

Aledo Mayor Shane Davis shared condolences with the Martin family, and Aledo Bearcat Baseball dedicated a regional finals victory and upcoming state semifinal appearance to Brayden.

Authorities have not released additional details about the cause, and memorial and funeral service information will be announced later by the family.
