Beloved Louisville Physician And Professor Dr. Dipendra Parajuli Remembered As Family Support Fund Begins On June 1, 2026
Dr. Dipendra Parajuli, a respected gastroenterologist, professor, mentor, colleague, and friend, has passed away unexpectedly, according to a fundraiser created on June 1, 2026.
Samrita Bajracharya organized the GoFundMe fundraiser on behalf of Pooja Poudyal to support Dr. Parajuli’s family, with $15,405 raised toward a $75,000 goal through 21 contributions.
Dr. Parajuli served as a professor at the University of Louisville and cared for veterans at the Louisville VA Medical Center with compassion, professionalism, and dedication.
Colleagues, trainees, patients, and veterans remember Dr. Parajuli for kindness, humility, wisdom, and a lasting commitment to medical education.
Dr. Parajuli leaves behind a spouse and two children, ages 19 and 14, including an older child in college and a younger child in high school.
The family plans to announce memorial service details and formal arrangements at a later date.
