Giovannie E. Vargas, a 19-year-old from Cary, died after a Saturday morning incident in the West Lawn neighborhood on Chicago’s Southwest Side.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. in the 4000 block of West 69th Street, where Giovannie had been standing outside when a vehicle approached.
Emergency responders took Giovannie to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where the loss was later confirmed.
