Katrina Wheeler Of Seguin Remembered After Fatal May 28 Walmart Parking Lot Incident In Texas
Katrina Wheeler, 35, of Seguin, Texas, died Thursday evening, May 28, 2026, outside the Walmart in the 500 block of South Highway 123 Bypass.
Officers arrived just before 5 p.m. and first responders tried to help, but authorities pronounced Katrina Wheeler deceased at the scene.
Police said a 37-year-old man also sustained serious injuries and received air transport to a San Antonio hospital.
Investigators identified 42-year-old John Wheeler, Katrina Wheeler’s husband, as the accused person and said officers later took him into custody along FM 775 after locating the vehicle outside Seguin.
The Walmart closed while investigators reviewed surveillance footage and spoke with witnesses throughout the evening.
Katrina Wheeler’s passing has brought grief to family, friends, and the Seguin community as they await further answers and memorial details.
