Regina Sánchez Toledo, 9, and Romina Sánchez Toledo, 7, died on Sunday, May 17, 2026, after a devastating head-on collision near El Cipres ranch and the town of La Tinaja, Mexico.
Their family described them as deeply loved children whose presence brought meaning and joy to relatives, friends, and all who knew them.
Their mother, Eva Toledo, 34, had been working to secure stable housing in California while Regina and Romina traveled in Mexico with family.
Edric Barr organized a memorial fundraiser from Camarillo, CA, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, to help the family with medical expenses, funeral costs, transportation, counseling, time away from work, and immediate needs.
As of the post, the fundraiser had raised $2,741 toward a $35K goal through 21 donations.
