Richard E. Hickman III, 38, of the Port Deposit area, died late Thursday night, May 28, 2026, after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Camp Meeting Ground Road in Cecil County.
Emergency crews responded shortly after 11:10 p.m. to the 300 block of Camp Meeting Ground Road, where responders found Richard E. Hickman III unresponsive at the scene.
Authorities said Richard E. Hickman III was riding a 2024 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound when it entered an uphill curve and left the roadway.
Investigators reported that the motorcycle slid on its left side across a nearby yard, hit a large rock and a mailbox, and then came to rest.
Officials have not determined why control was lost, and the inquiry remains ongoing as they review the sequence of events.
Family members, friends, and Port Deposit residents continue to mourn the sudden loss and remember Richard E. Hickman III with care and respect.
