Sunkiss Berries, 33, has been identified as the person found Tuesday morning in the water near the Turn Basin area of Fort Pierce.
Sea Tow crew members reported the discovery around 8 a.m. between the north and south bridges, and local police and rescue teams responded to the waterfront.
Authorities continued reviewing the area on May 13, 2026, while the St. Lucie County Medical Examiner’s Office prepared to determine what happened.
Community members have shared condolences and support for the family as Fort Pierce grieves the loss of a young local person.
