Vince Kellerman, 5, Remembered After Tree-Fall Incident Near Line Creek Trail In Kansas City’s Northland

Vince was playing near Line Creek Trail in Kansas City’s Northland on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, when a tree fell and caused critical harm.
Medical teams at Children’s Mercy Hospital cared for Vince, while family, friends, and the community offered prayers and support.
Vince had recently turned 5 and was preparing to start Kindergarten at Hopewell Elementary in the Park Hill School District and Sunday School at the Church of the Holy Martyrs in Kansas City, Missouri.
Family members described Vince as smart, kind, loving, and bright, with a warm spirit that touched classmates, loved ones, and the wider community.
The fundraiser has raised $4,420 toward a $15,000 goal through 42 donations to help with funeral and remembrance expenses.
