Angel Gilberto Guzman, Beloved Family Member And Princeton University Security Officer, Remembered After Unexpected Passing
Angel Gilberto Guzman, lovingly known as Gilbert, unexpectedly passed away far too soon, according to a fundraiser created today, Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Meghan Stillwell organized the fundraiser, which has raised $5,825 toward a $20,000 goal through 27 donations to support funeral costs and household needs.
Gilbert shared more than 40 years with spouse Evelyn and leaves a devoted family that includes three daughters and three grandchildren.
Loved ones remembered Gilbert as a person of faith, compassion, service, kindness, generosity, and steady care for family, friends, and the wider community.
Gilbert recently served as a security officer at Princeton University, where colleagues knew Gilbert for reliability, warmth, and a welcoming spirit.
Outside of work, Gilbert enjoyed running and had recently completed a 5K race, reflecting discipline, determination, and a full embrace of life.
