Ayla Wind Remembered As Family Seeks Support After Sudden Loss In West Virginia While Preparing To Return To Utah
Ayla Wind has died in West Virginia while preparing to move back to Utah to be with family, according to a fundraiser created on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, by Courtney Wind of Taylorsville, Utah.
Loved ones said the sudden loss has brought deep grief and unexpected costs as the family works to bring Ayla’s ashes home, arrange travel, support their father, and plan a memorial gathering.
The fundraiser, titled Ayla Wind Memorial & Donation for Son, had raised $4,783 toward a $9,000 goal through 15 donations at the time of the post.
Courtney Wind said donations will help with transportation from West Virginia, family travel, memorial costs, and support for the young child and single parent affected by this loss.
