Veya Cummings died last night after a car struck them while they crossed the street near their home in North Highlands.
A fundraiser created today, Saturday, 13 Jun 2026, by Darcie Remeneski seeks support for Lincoln, age 12, who lost a parent a few years ago and now faces life without both parents.
The campaign has raised $2,130 toward a $22K goal through 25 donations, with funds planned for funeral costs, immediate needs, travel, transportation to the closest relative, guardianship needs, and related fees.
Darcie Remeneski, listed as the organizer from Roseville, CA, said the effort aims to help Lincoln remain with a caring family member or friend while honoring Veya’s memory.
