William Huntington Remembered After Late-Night Motorcycle Crash On Rural Darke County Road In Ohio

William Huntington, 57, died after a late-night motorcycle crash at about 11:17 p.m. on June 12, 2026, along the 7200 block of North Star-Fort Loramie Road in Darke County, Ohio.

Investigators said Huntington rode a black 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound when a deer entered the roadway and the motorcycle struck it.

Deputies with the Darke County Sheriff’s Office responded after reports of a serious injury crash involving a motorcycle.

Ansonia Rescue, the North Star Fire Department, CareFlight, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team, and the Darke County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.

Officials pronounced Huntington dead at the scene before transport for medical care could take place.

The road serves local residents, farm vehicles, and recreational riders across parts of western Ohio, including Darke and Shelby counties.

Authorities have not released additional information, and the investigation remains ongoing.
